Scholarships 2017-2018
Opportunities announced throughout the year for scholarships that support individuals pursuing professional development on a variety of 0-to-5 topics. All activities must align with First 5 Shasta’s Pathway Goals and Initiatives.

Scholarship Grant Funding
First 5 Shasta Scholarships help to build the capacity of individuals and organizations serving young children ages 0-to-5, their families, pregnant women, and providers working on behalf of young children in Shasta County. Applicants may pursue scholarships to attend trainings, conferences, and workshops. Scholarship requests must address one of First 5 Shasta’s Pathway Goals and Initiatives, either through the topic of the training activity or through the overall mission and work of the applicant organization.

Total Budget: $8,450
Request Range: $250-$1,500
Grant Period: Completed within Fiscal Year ending June 30, 2018
Deadline: Apply from September 18, 2017 – March 29, 2018 (or until funds are depleted)

Triple P Scholarships: Level 5 Family Transitions
Through this grant funding, First 5 Shasta is offering a total of three (3) scholarships for successful applicants to attend the Fall 2017 Level 5 Family Transitions Triple P Training. This training will be held at First 5 Shasta (Redding, CA) on November 8-9, 2017. Applicants must work for an organization that is currently implementing Triple P in Shasta County, or demonstrate commitment to implementing Triple P with the families they serve once training has been received.

Triple P Scholarships: Enhanced and Pathways
Through this grant funding, First 5 Shasta is offering a total of three (3) scholarships for successful applicants to attend the Fall 2017 Level 5 Enhanced and Pathways Triple P Training. This training will be held at First 5 Shasta (Redding, CA) on December 4-6, 2017. Applicants must work for an organization that is currently implementing Triple P in Shasta County, or demonstrate commitment to implementing Triple P with the families they serve once training has been received.
