ED PR PA Hero

Our impact reaches more children when we work together.

By collaborating with educators, service providers and community partners we are able to achieve bigger goals.

Help Expand Resource Availability

First 5 Shasta contributes to shared efforts by gathering groups to address issues relevant to children and families. We participate in collaboratives and provide appropriate financial support. Since our establishment, we've invested close to $30 million in local efforts.

We actively work to create opportunities for service providers to support the healthy development of children in Shasta County. We guide them through the process of requesting funding and offer training programs that support their work.

Week of The Young Child

Celebrate With Us!

Established in 1971 as a way to unite communities, the Week of The Young Child is celebrated every year in April to bring public attention to the needs of young children and their families.

We invite the community to experience celebratory activities and events focused on recognizing the early childhood programs, services, and investments that meet the needs of our local children.
