Our children. Our future.

We connect parents, family members, caregivers, and service providers living in Shasta County to the community programs and resources that help young children thrive.

Home Circle

A child’s first five years lay the foundation for a lifetime.

At First 5 Shasta, we understand the developmental milestones that take place in the earliest years of a child's life and are committed to making those years count.  We know parents and caregivers play the most important role in a child's life, which is why we work to ensure that the resources and connections families need are available in our community.

When children grow up having their social, emotional, and educational needs met, their families and communities thrive.

Creating a Supportive Environment

Parents and caregivers are the most important influence in a child's life. Equipping and supporting parents and caregivers benefits children, families and the community.

Expanding Services

The first 5 years of life have the greatest impact on a child’s brain development. Providing hands-on support to simplify the process of applying for funds and offering access to resources for professional development benefits service providers and strengthens young children’s development.

Building Our Community

Strong families create a strong community. We advocate for the families of Shasta County so they receive the information, resources and programs they need to care for and develop children ages 0-5.
