Shasta Public Libraries will be providing the Lunch at the Library Program at the Redding Library inside the Community Room from June 2024 - July 2024 for School aged children as part of the California Summer Meal Coalition.
This program is for school aged children (Grades K-12) Parents and Caretakers are not eligible.
The Lunch at the Library program promoted by the California Library Association and California Summer Meal Coalition is able to provide libraries with the resources and support they need to establish themselves as quality summer meal program sites for their communities.

Prenatal Education with Samantha Reinhardt - Stages of Labor

This class will discuss the different stages and phases of labor. We will explore all the signs of each phase as well as techniques to help labor progress and best ways to stay comfortable. We explore how to know when it is time to go to the hospital/birth center and give you tools and tips on how to be confident in your stage of labor. Taught by certified Doula and childbirth educator Samantha Reinhardt.

Prenatal Education with Christina McCabe - Lactation Education

This interactive lactation class will cover the basics of the anatomy & physiology of breastfeeding & lactation. You will gain a foundation in infant latch & oral anatomy. You will learn breastfeeding positions & know how to determine if you baby is eating enough.
Parents and expectant parents are welcome.
